The Sayville United Methodist Church Welcomes You To Their SILENT AUCTION Saturday, November 12, 2005 2:30pm - 5:30pm 80 Main Street West Sayville Fire House What is a Silent Auction?
An item is displayed on a table with a sheet of paper in front of it. If you wish to bid on that item, you obtain a bid number (to keep your identity anonymous), place your number on the bid sheet and write the amount you wish to pay. Someone may come along and out bid you. If you still want the item, you place your number below the highest bidder with your new bid amount. You will be given notice when the bidding on the items is about to close. You can go back as often as you wish to increase your bid. Bidding is in whole dollar amounts only. Payment is accepted in the form of cash or check with identification. Your tax deductible check should be made out to the "Sayville United Methodist Church". The following is a list of items that are available for you to bid on. Each basket has a descriptive card attached; listing the contents of the basket.
